Stranger Things review: Our thoughts

Stranger Things is set in 1983 and takes place in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana. Everything is ordinary in the town of Hawkins, that is until Will Byers goes missing whilst biking home one night. Three of Will’s friends, Mike, Dustin, and Lucas go looking for him, but whilst they do so, they come across a mysterious girl they later call Eleven, because of her tattoo. The group of friends are soon to realise this isn’t any ordinary girl, but one with very special powers and abilities.

The Stranger Things cast is made up of incredible talents, all of which play their characters very well. The group of kids did an exceptional job at portraying their different personalities and simply showing what it was like to grow up in the 1980s as a kid. Additional props go to Millie Bobby Brown who played Eleven, the strange and mysterious kid found scared and alone in the woods.

As well as the cast, the Duffer Brothers also did an exceptional job creating the series. Everything from the cinematography, cast, and the plot makes for an easily enjoyable, beautifully shot, truly binge-worthy TV series. Throughout the entire series, there was never a dull moment and we found it very hard to stop watching.
